Welcome to my special announcement of the global "One World, One Heart" bloggers event! This event is created and hosted by Lisa Swifka and a fun way to get to know other bloggers from all over the world. This blog tour includes artisans of all areas:

The fun is not only in visiting the participants, but also in the chance to win their giveaways! Participating in my first giveaway I thought that my giveaway had to be an appropiate surprise.

As a magic carpet ticket holder I have decided that a FQ of my own first hand-dyed fabric will be magical enough. I enhanced the magic abilities for this international event so my gift can fly all over the world. This FQ is joined by pieces of green, leafy organza, a light yellow tulle, nice coloured yarn and some decorative ribbons:

For a chance to win my gifts, you can put your name in the "magicians hat" by leaving a much appreciated thought at this post. On February 15 the winner will be drawn with the help of a random number generator and also announced on my blog.

  Anyone can enter, but it is the best if you have an active blog! There has to be a way to contact you via e-mail. If I cannot contact you, the random number generator must pick someone else. If the winner does not respond by Friday 19, another name will be choosen.

  If you only mention your active blog then make sure that your e-mail is set to visible at your blog profile. Otherwise you are still not reachable by e-mail. If you only want to give your e-mail then use a format that cannot be abused by spam bots, by using brackets and/or words for the symbols.

• February 10:
  Although I like the words "Fuzzy Quilt", "Funky Queen", "Feathery Quilt" as AZviaTx asked in her comment, the letters FQ stand for Fat Quarter: a 18"x 22" piece of fabric. The explanation from About.com: Quilting:
  
  "A fat quarter is a one-fourth yard cut of fabric that (usually) measures 18" x 22" instead of the typical 9" x 44" quarter-yard cut. The longest side's dimension will vary if your fabric is not 44" wide."
  The same website gives a perfect illustration of which piece of fabric it exactly is. This update is perhaps a bit late, but I hope you can forgive me being a quilt-aholic.
