".. The Pacific International Quilt Festival 2011, created by Mancuso Show Management, had over 800 quilts on exhibit. As usual, it was difficult to decide which to photograph. Sometimes it was serendipity and the fact that the crowd was not in the way. This year, the show's 20th anniversary, it was no easier making photographic decisions. All of the quilts were amazing! .."

Show & Tell: Beauty Secrets

0 of much appreciated comments
from The Quilt Show:
"Beauty Secrets: 150 Years of History in One Quilt Pattern is currently on exhibit at the Benton County Historical Society and Museum in Philomath Oregon. It is part of the collection of Bill Volckening of Portland Oregon. Bill collected quilts for 22 years, but during 20 of those he was not involved in the quilt community at all and didn't have a lot of outside influences. He really didn't understand what he'd collected until he decided to share the quilts. The reaction of quilt enthusiasts made him decide to share more with the rest of the world. To order a catalog of the exhibit, click here."

From The Quilt Show:
"Cheryl Lynch is sharing some of her fabulous quilts with TQS. When talking about her creative process Cheryl says, "I find that I "build" my quilts one section at a time. Putting together the pieces of the puzzle is both challenging and energizing. This process sometimes necessitates the development of a new technique or use of a non-traditional fabric."
