A wonderful show & tell

An invitation in an e-mail newsletter gave the chance of a last-minute application to a show and tell of an amazing quilt artist. It was still possible to join at Saturday afternoon on August 29 in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands.

While telling about her life and her experiences in the Middle East she showed her quilts. Giving a taste of the different cultures she explained the emotions behind these works of art.

It all came even more alive when we, the listeners, were allowed to touch and examine the quilts and take pictures of them as much as we liked.

Unfortunately my camera began to show strange behaviour and no new battery could solve that problem, but I managed to take some. This is one of the artist while demonstrating her free-motion quilting:

Lucky me, to have the opportunity to be at this wonderful show and tell of Jenny Bowker!

P.S.:
I'm looking for a replacement of my digital camera.
If you have experience with a nice one,
please let me know in a comment or by e-mail.

  1. You are lucky to have seen Judy Bowker. She had her own exhibition at the FOQ which was sensational and she was also demonstrating the new Bernina.

  4. You were lucky indeed. She does really great work and it must have been fun to see and hear her talk about it. I am taking a class with Ruth Powers next month and can't wait.
