I experimented with textile paint on this part.
Printing a photograph on Organza and on pre-treated fabric were experiments I used on other parts of this new quilt. Although I can hardly wait to show the whole quilt, patience is required. Photographs of the quilt has been submitted for an international textile competition on the theme of "Tracks" or "Traces".
If the quilt passes the juried competition, it can be seen at the Textile Festival 2010, from March 24 – 28, 2010, in the Pieter's Church in the city of Leiden, the Netherlands.
If not, you can see the quilt on my blog after December 7.
That date is the deadline for sending in the quilt for the second round.

ReplyDeleteCorryna, thank you for your reaction!
ReplyDeleteTranslation for the foreign visitors:
"The detail is looking great. I am also making a quilt for this exhibition.
Because the pressure of the deadline was to restricting, I am not submitting for the competition.
I am very anxious for your work and hope to see it for real."
This looks so intriguing. Parts of it shines like jewels. Good luck with your submission.
